Costa Rican Adventure!

I hope everyone is having a spectacular holiday season and getting to spend it with your loved ones! I was especially spoiled this holiday season because I got to go to the beautiful Costa Rica for my holiday trip!! I just got back from 10 days in paradise and I had so much fun. My sister and I traveled together and went to several places, all of which provided a unique experience.

We started our trip in San Jose and managed to purchase bus tickets to our other two destinations, La Fortuna/Arenal and Jacó. We would never has made it as smoothly as we did if my sister hadn't be able to speak spanish so well. She did awesome and we had such a blast together. Here are a few photos from our trip and then I promise to get back to sharing nail photos! :)

View from the rocking chairs outside our room in La Fortuna.

The Arenal Volcan is almost completely visible! It was so beautiful!

Caught up on some much needed reading! If you love epic fantasies, I totally recommend grabbing Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series! It is EXCELLENT
The Catarata Rio Fortuna Waterfall may have been one of my favorite adventures of the trip. We got to go swimming in the pool around this and it was wonderful. Beautiful but cold! It's hard to tell from this picture, but the fall is actually (according to Wikipedia) over 200 feet tall!

Here are a few random shots from our time in Jacó. The beach here was so stunning and the water so clear and warm that we actually contemplating extending our stay here by a day. The town is very touristy, but we didn't mind that at all and felt very comfortable there. LOVE.
A few random shots from our travel days. We went everywhere by bus and taxi. A four hour bus ride only costs us about $5!

There were a few stressful parts of the trip, but for the most part, everything went very smooth and I had a great time laughing and exploring with my sister. So lucky that we get along! I'm looking forward to getting back to sharing my adventures in nail polish very soon!
