Honey Skull

I love seeing amazing digital work that is highly detailed. The shading really helps define the honeycomb and skull shape. The details of the bees makes the really appear to live on this unusual hive. I love the taste of honey. One of my favorite ways to enjoy honey is when it's still on the honey comb. I fondly remember go to the state fair and buying honey combs thick with delicious fresh honey. The glistening honey of this skull makes me want another right now!

Photastic Skull

"At work or play, I use my skull each and every day". That's the motto of David Machen of Woodward, Toronto. The skull he's using today is a HydroCal casting from his studio-made silicone mould rubbed with silver polish and enhanced with some basic photo editing with his phone.

Of course we love the skull it's self, but there's a lot to be said for presentation.  It's amazing to see all of these beautiful images created with just our phones.  Heck, even I took this one myself.  Great work on presenting your "fantastic photo", Darren!

Shades and Perennial Skulls

Things are looking up here at Skull-A-Day. In fact our future's so bright, our skulls gotta wear shades. Well, at least today's skull from Pat Henzy is feeling the positive vibe. Both of these submissions are mixed media of pens, pencils, and photoshop.

Congrats are also in order for Pat who recently completed a 365 challenge with a drawing a day featured here.  There are lots of other skulls and crazy stuff to check out.  These two pieces are great examples of how multiple media styles can combine for harmonious skull unity.  Thanks for sharing, Pat!
