D.O.(tte)D. Skull

This brightly painted brain case is courtesy of Erica C. Zepeda of Los Angeles, CA.

This skull is bright and bursting with life and color, representative of the celebration that is Dia de los Muertos. The one day festival has found a way to inspire creativity year round. Thanks for sharing your inspiration, Erica!

Rocking Skull

Felipe Raveau Drouilly made a poster for his friends in the rock band LA BIG RABIA from Santiago, Chile.

I love the pairing of an anatomical skull with the design overlaps and radiating eye design. The combination definitely draws me in, which is fantastic for a band poster. The band's music is rather good and deserving of a skull poster! You're lucky to have a talented friend to create this great poster for you all!

Ceramic Jack-O-Lantern Skull

A couple of days ago I used a certain "C" word referring to a holiday that has yet to come this year. Let me step back a bit to get us all prepped for the one of the most favorite holidays of skull lovers, Halloween. Shelley Spranza has sent us this raku fired jack-o'-lantern skull that is sure to put us in the appropriate mood.

This is only one of numerous jack-o-lanterns produced by Shelley. She makes each one by hand so they are as unique as the people who purchase them. Be sure to check out her blog to find more fired up works of scariness, or visit her store to acquire one of your own. Thanks for sharing, Shelley!
